Got a bag of rice flour from my mom's friend for free. Anyone know any good easy recipes to make with it?

What do you all make of this lady who is having her 18th baby? And her kids are home-schooled, though I don't know how that works, logistically.

I just found the greatest podcast! Learn practical Korean in short, 5-7 minute "lessons" . . . Survival Phrases dot com. Or go to iTunes and subscribe. It's been a lot of funny and *really* helpful!!!

FUN, it's been FUN! good grief. my brain is fried!

You should be able to make those yummy rice flour pancakes that are filled with melted brown sugar or something else sweet. Does anyone know what they're called? My husband said they were easy to make but I've forgotten the name for them.

Are you thinking of ho-dduk?

FingKASIL: I think it's funny that all their names start with J. How confusing must that be? The idea of THREE kids seems scary to me so 18 is just unfathomable... It kind of makes my head spin but to each their own I guess!

I would imagine that at this point, her older kids have become teachers to the younger ones!

It's a day early but Happy Mother's Day everyone. What was your kimchi mama day like? For me, a quiet dinner with the family at a nice restaurant and a promise of good behavior tomorrow. What else could a mother as for?

Denise, I dont know about Korean recipes, but there is a website called, supercook, where you can enter the ingredients that you have on hand and they will give you a list of recipes. Its awesome!

I've just started blogging & love this site. I would like to read more articles about being a Korean adoptee if anyone else is interested. I was adopted when I was a baby & am now living in Utah.

I love those little fried cakes. My halmoni would make them with a few pine nuts pressed on top. They would already be sugary but I liked to put honey on them, because that's how I liked 'em!

JoLynn, we have lots of KAD readers and one of our writers, Jae Ran, is an adoptee. Also click on Korean Adoption under our Categories. You'll find there are lots and lots of resources, blogs and support online.

Thanks Carol!
