Walking the Tight Rope

Did you know the art of tightrope walking has a long history in Korea

I didn't.

But according the the Associated Press, just yesterday, professional Chinese rope walker, Yakefujiang Maimitili, won Seoul's second International high wire championship . . . crossing the entire length of the 1 K rope in under just 11 minutes . . all the while hanging over the Seoul River!

Now THAT'S a balancing act!

The Korean art of tightrope walking is called "jultagi" and is combination tightrope walking, play and entertainment.  Jultagi was brought back into the spotlight with Korea's 2005 film, "The King and the Clown".

-Angie in Texas sometimes feels like she's walking a tightrope, but isn't so good at balancing . . .
