I thought I'd share my recipe for california rolls with ya'll.
Ingredients:
1 lb of shredded imitation crab meat (or the frozen kind from the Korean store is OK too)
1 large english cucumber
2 avocados (ripe)
1 tsp pepper
1 cut mayo
ghim sheets (nori)
soy sauce
cock sauce (sriracha)
cooked rice
Mix the crab with mayo and ground black pepper.
Julianne the cucumber. (I said julianne... Top Chef it's all due to you!)
Cut avocados into slides (I like to do this by first cutting it in half, then scooping out the avocado 1/2 with a spoon, place the avocado (flat side down) on a plate and then cut into slices using a small knife).
The is a great make-you-own dinner. Cut the ghim sheet into 1/2 or 1/4 size of the big sheet. Place it on your palm. Put some rice down and then pile on the avocado, cucumber, and imitation crab meat. Wrap and enjoy after dipping into soy sauce. For extra spice and flavor, squirt a bit of sriracha sauce into the roll before wrapping.
OK. This post was an excuse to share this cute picture. Although my eyes look like they're totally different sizes. I look like I'm a pirate going "har har."
If you live in the bay area and want to get some awesome pictures done for relatively inexpensive... give me a holla. Or google the name in the pic above. Tell her Mary sent you. =)
Oh and a shameless plug for myself... I've been making more jewelry lately (well, posting more jewelry, I have tons but have had no time to post). Check 'em out at Perfect Jewelry. Most of my profits are donated to charity so yeah, it's not like you're paying for my mortgage.
